Savannah Harrelson is a publicist for the BookSparks division of SparkPoint Studio. As a true believer in the power of words, Savannah combines her writing and PR skills to conduct results-driven campaigns for clients. Her expertise stretches into multiple facets of the communications industry, including media relations, graphic design, event planning, digital marketing and social media.
She previously served as a public relations assistant at GateWay Community College, where she was responsible for writing content for the website, curating email newsletters, producing and editing videos, shooting photography, pitching media outlets and managing five social media accounts. She also served as the student body director of public relations for Arizona State University’s Downtown Phoenix Campus. In this position, she launched a blog and new website for the organization and introduced a texting service to improve communications with students. Prior to these positions, she interned for Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton’s Office, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America and Visit Phoenix.
Savannah graduated summa cum laude from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University (#1 in innovation, US News & World Report). In her free time, Savannah enjoys hiking, trail running and visiting her three-year-old sister in Boise, Idaho. Most weekends you can find her at Phoenix’s South Mountain wandering the trails or cheering on her football team, the Washington Redskins.
