SparkPoint Studio’s internship program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the areas of public relations, branding, social media, content creation, digital marketing and hybrid publishing.

Internships are available each semester for all of our departments—PR, digital and publishing. The internship is unpaid, but students are able to obtain college credit. Work hours are flexible to accommodate school schedules, and typically interns are in the office at least three days per week.

Publishing Internship

She Writes Press and SparkPress—two nationally recognized independent hybrid presses—are both operated out of our offices in Tempe, Arizona. While SparkPress is more commercially focused, publishing male and female authors, She Writes Press is a bit more literary and exclusively publishes female authors.

Interns will help our publishing team brainstorm and create blog posts pertaining to industry trends, writing and editing tips, and book roundups, complete quality checks on books across retail platforms, review manuscript edits, update book charts and catalogs, support mailings and other administrative duties, and assist with book orders. Interns will get a bird’s-eye view of how a publishing operates, including how publishing and publicity divisions work together.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for books and the publishing industry. Strong writing, editing, and communication skills are a must! Ability to work in WordPress for building blogs is a plus, as well as a quick eye to adapt to the voice and style of our imprints.
