For the past decade, since our founding in 2009, SparkPoint Studio has had a strong commitment to giving back. Even in the early years, when we were just a few passionate women around a kitchen table, we’ve had an awareness of our responsibility to use our story to benefit others. Over the years, our ability to contribute to the lives of others has increased and we are grateful for all the clients and partners who have helped us give back to our communities.

STEP Contest
The publishing industry has been widely criticized for its lack of diversity. We launched the She Writes Press Toward Equality in Publishing (STEP) contest in 2018 to offer publishing packages to women writers of color. To date we have awarded four publishing contracts. Learn more →

Girls Write Now mentors underserved young women to find their voices through the power of writing. We are proud to support this organization through their annual gala and partnerships.

Full Hearts, Full Shelves
The lack of funding in America’s school directly impacts literacy rates. The average teacher spends $500 annually just on school supplies for their students. In 2019 we launched our Full Hearts, Full Shelves #10featuredteachers supplies drive in partnership with Teach Your Heart Out and Yoobi to help fill the shelves for 10 teachers across America. Library Donations
SparkPoint actively supports the libraries in our communities and hometowns with book donations throughout the year. In 2018, during National Library Week alone, we donated over 1,000 books across the country.
