Jaime Schmidt is the quintessential maker-made-good.
Founder of Schmidt’s Naturals, Jaime led the award-winning, natural deodorant brand to sales in over 30 countries and stores like Target, Costco, CVS, and Whole Foods. After a nine-figure acquisition by Unilever, Jaime continues to support the brand’s expansion and partnerships with the likes of Jane Goodall and Justin Bieber.
Jaime is also the co-founder of Supermaker, a business media company whose website you’re on right now. Supermaker spotlights diverse, independent founders and equity-driven narratives that are focused on helping level the playing field for women and people of color. Similarly, also alongside her husband Chris Cantino, Jaime is co-founder of Color, an investment fund that supports entrepreneurs largely excluded from the venture financing system.
Her book SuperMaker: Crafting Business on Your Own Terms will be available in April 2020.
Jaime has been recognized twice by Goldman Sachs’ 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs awards, Inc.’s Female Founders 100, Ernst & Young’s Pacific Northwest Entrepreneur of the Year, the Create & Cultivate 100, and is an inaugural mentor of the Inc. Founders Project.
