When She Writes Press first began to publish books in 2012, it was just a few books a season. By 2016, we consistently published over 30 books each season, and that number has kept increasing, hitting 50 to 60 for each of the 2020 spring and fall seasons, with a focus on memoir and literary fiction by female authors.

Likewise, when SparkPress first began to publish in 2013, it was just one book, then eight by 2014. As the smaller sister press, we keep the list more lean with a focus on YA, children’s, and genre fiction, by both male and female authors. By 2016, we were nearing 10 books every spring and fall season, and that number has varied between 10 to 15 through 2020.

Together, this August, She Writes Press and SparkPress published our 600th title. Congratulations to all of our authors and our publishing team!
